London newcomer Kamran Khan cut his teeth playing with The Japanese House before going solo under his creative moniker Fake Laugh. Combining the jangliness of Real Estate, the wooziness of Mac Demarco and the romantic tongue-in-cheek leanings of Sean Nicholas Savage, Khan has created a playful psychedelic love song that doesn't take itself too seriously. The earworm of a chorus "I want a love that is perfect, all the time" is both ironic and infinitely optimistic. 'Short of Breath' is taken from Fake Laugh’s self-titled debut LP, due out on July 28th through Headcount Records. - HLMX
